“Psychological growth of a teenage boy,” that’s really a strong way to say about any coming of age film really ahaha. The summary plot on popular platforms is ridiculous well I guess that’s understandable given the covert nature of the film.

I’ve just screened the film in Dolby Cinema at Nagoya. It’s one of the longest film in Miyazaki’s career and it’s “allegedly” marking the end of his journey. But we don’t truly know whether it’s the ending or not…

It’s quite unimaginable that I’ve actually seen it, at Tokyo Filmex this year. As it usually goes for a feature debut, the process has been challenged by number of obstacles, from the largest being the budget insufficiency to answering and educating the…

Denis Villeneuve, how do you make people suffer so much on a single theatre chair that they couldn’t sit still any longer and just ended up feeling goosebumps all over their body?

I really wanted to scream “Oh my god, holyyyyy…” but you know in Japanese cinema, audiences barely have an impression nor response to intense moments so I was bit shaped into that. Japanese people are rather numb and wanton in terms of movies in theatre. They sit sill…
