  Marty's Friends Week
  This was my first Cassavetes experience, and I look forward to have more! The low-budget and the improvisational nature of the movie were interesting, and I can see how this movie might have influenced early Scorsese films. I appreciated the movie more than overall liking it however, I understand its importance in cinema and its influence on New Hollywood, and to the depiction of racial tension in contemporary America, but it felt too disjointed and improvisational to connect with me personally. Still, a super interesting watch, and it sparked my interest in Cassavetes!
