Intolerance: Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages

    ★★½

This was more of a slog than I thought it was going to be. Had to watch it over multiple sittings. Some awe inspiring set pieces, that I can't believe they where able to pull off as well as they did. But at the same time, the length was brutal, and I did feel myself getting bored in multiple spots.

I can understand why the AFI deemed it worthy to be in their top 100. The ambition of the film in its own right deserves to be remebered.

    Creed III

    ★★½

Overall Creed 3 is an enjoyable film, however I found it to be a little under baked. The performance of the 4 key characters (Jordan, Majors, Thompson & Mila Davis Kent) were brilliant, no problem in the acting department, the problem was in the actual use of cinema as a story telling device. ★½

For a movie that was meant to be about dinosaurs the film makers were worried about a lot of other things. Including other animal threats. Waiting for the Barbarians

    ★★

Depp and Patterson put in Stella performances, and the photography was awesome. But I just did not understand the film. I get what it was going for thematically, but I don't feel like it reached it at any point.

The structure of the film being four acts was nice to see, and the use of the town was cool but ultimately felt under utilised.

As a side note I did enjoy the vaguity of who and where they were.
