Whoa this was a tough to watch. It’s stunningly beautiful. I came in knowing it was crazy sad and honestly expected to like it a lot less because of that, but it’s really stuck with me, and the beauty and joy especially has felt really present. Kind of reminds me of I’m Still Here in that way. Beautiful animation, really interesting and compelling choices about what to show and where the camera rests. I don’t know that I have much intelligent to say about this movie to be honest, but it really exceeded my expectations.

Um…I think this is a good movie, but it makes me angry. It feels well shot, well acted, and beautifully designed. Costumes were stunning (and honestly they needed to be). The movie feels meticulous, very detail-oriented in a way that’s fun to watch.
