  A movie that left me speechless, sad, and angry at the end. This story shines light on a horrific piece of American history, but one that everyone should take the time to see and learn. The POV cinematography is very unique and surprisingly didn't make me motion sick (which I was worried about). Fantastic film and probably one of my favorites of 2024.

  Amazing lighting and cinematography, as I’d come to expect from Robert Eggers. Surprisingly good pace for a film set in those times, as they often can feel slow for me. Sound design was certainly gross, however the biggest disappointment was not being able to understand what Bill Skarsgård’s Count Orlok was saying half the time. May rate higher on a rewatch with subtitles.

  I'm Still Here 2024

  An important history lesson from 1970's dictatorship government in Brazil. The portrayal of a family's strength is amazing to see in this heartbreaking slow burn torture. Give the Oscar to Fernanda Torres already, because so far I haven't seen a best actress performance come close to the strong mother she plays in this film. By the end I felt connected to each one of the family members in their story of pain, resilience and human spirit.
