Civil War 2024
Some really amazing imagery in here but all in all there was no substance. The story in itself is interesting in theory and I like that we are following it from an unbiased journalistic point of view rather than being on the good or bad side however I feel like I was asking more questions as the film didn’t really say anything. Garland wanted to tiptoe around the idea of why the civil war was happening as if to not piss anyone off which is a shame as the scene which had the most going for it—Jesse Plemons—was the most interesting part of the film.
