  After the movie I asked “so which one was the SpongeBob shot”.

  I’ve watched one other silent movie in my life (Pandora’s Box) and felt similarly coming out of this. I have respect for the fact these core stories can remain engaging after a century, and the filmmaking process I find fascinating (the use of blue lighting to indicate night since they couldn’t shoot during dark with the existing technology), but it just feels hard for me to be super engaged given the simplicity of the storytelling.
