To a lazy introvert like me, the life of actual popstars look exactly this stressful

In a game-to-film series full of baffling adaptation choices, the most baffling choice in this entry is the bizarre ultra-smoothing filter placed on Milla Jovovich's face anytime she is shown in closeup. This is possibly one of the most beautiful people ever put on film, at age 32 when this came out, and they've got her slathered in virtual Vaseline like DeNiro in The Irishman. Very distracting stuff. Otherwise, this movie holds its own. The zombie crow sequence is genuinely thrilling, and Jorah from Game of Thrones as a slimy scientist (inevitably) turns into a pretty cool monster. Solid flick.

A fun little bit of 80's horror. I'm hesitant to call it cheese, because it's surprisingly well-made. Worth a watch on Shudder.

I appreciate that Hall of Famer Wife Guy Paul Anderson gifted Milla Jovovich her own action-horror franchise. One hilarious result of this is that the sequel brings in one of the ass-kicking women from the games, primarily to stand around saying, out loud, how much better and cooler Milla's character is.
