Black Bag 2025
We are eating well in the first half of 2025 with two theatrical releases from Mr. Soderbergh and both movies being exceptional genre fair. The performances in this one are around the horn fantastic. The pacing is tight and the screen looks absolutely beautiful the entire time. And now when my wife asks how many beers I had with boys I can say Black Bag.

I've seen things that would make Isaac Newton crawl back into the womb.
The most conventional film Eggers has made. Don't know if I'm thrilled to say goodbye to the edge to his work, but this is a thoroughly enjoyable trip with a real litigation of surviving sexual assault and the impotence of posturing men. Hoult playing a cuckold and Taylor Johnson as the disengaged alpha while Lily Rose Depp steals the movie is all worth admission.
