The fact that Tyler Durden points out quite early on that he doesn't want to look like the model that Calvin Klein or Tommy Hilfiger says he should, but subconsciously creates the "perfect" image of man (Brad Pitt) whose chiseled, muscular body is still requested in 2021 by multiple celebrities for their own self image, showcases the whole point of the story and how dangerous toxic masculinity can be.
