I sobbed uncontrollably in the latter half of this film. That might have been due to extraneous circumstances but that’s not important. What is important is the absolute genius of watching Igor actually pay attention to and really FEEL Ani’s experience whilst everyone else treats her like she is simultaneously invisible and a parasite. I think seeing him feel for her makes it impossible not to want to hug her. Her tough exterior might fool some people, might fool audiences…

Possession 1981
At the very start I was put off by the OTT acting, especially from Sam Neill but as the narrative progressed, getting more deranged and at times grotesque, the choices made perfect sense. One of the most bizarre films I’ve seen, touching, prodding and dancing around the veil. I don’t really know what happened or why, I winced several times, but I would definitely watch again! Mainly to see the squid lover.

You know what, I really liked this. I didn’t think I would but gee, I surprise myself sometimes.
It genuinely scared me! The first jump-scare gave me a mini panic attack but I soldiered on.
