Almost every shot in this film was an absolute delight...the moments of poetic delirium and graceful folk ritual are kaleidoscopic. The soundtrack was majestic, especially in the cacophonies that the mastering distorts into almost sounding like contemporary electronica.
So many of the visuals could easily be retrofitted into the folk horror cannon: the threadbare masks, the naked sorcery in a circle of trees, the branches made into a skeletal horse shillouete...
