    Godzilla vs. Biollante

    ★★★★

One of the few and rare Godzilla films that start to feel fresh again.
This Godzilla entry also gives some layers towards the human component, because most of the time I don't care about the people in the films. This is more than just Godzilla fights other monsters.
Part spy, part spiritual theology, part drama, and of course part Kaiju.

I would say play it in the background and forget it exists, but it's not worth that. Time to go back and watch some Youtube, Tik Tok, Instagram shorts, something other than this.

    Chungking Express

    ★★★★

Chuncking Express is beautiful and lovely. The theme is simple and effective as it rewards the viewer on what we take for granted. As we progress in the mundane activities of everyday life that occasionally reward pleasantries along the way.
It acknowledges that which is sad, is indeed sad, and that which is happy is truly happy.
However the one big grip I have on the film is the song California Dreamin' by The Mamas and the Papas.
