the opera singer at the beginning goes so much harder than this movie deserves
I've not seen a Fast and Furious film but I've seen Sosuke's mom drive during a magic tsunami and I don't think F&F would compare
the first time I saw this I was on an airplane to Mexico and Your Name wasn't available in the US yet and then the flight encountered some turbulence so they shut off the in-flight movie right after he learns about the comet strike and I had to wait for 6 months for Your Name to come out on bluray in the US before I could finish the film
the Kodama are way more unsettling when it's with surround sound in imax

every time they introduce a new character, I thought "now THAT is the biggest nose any character could have, no characters could possibly have a nose any bigger than that" and then the next character has an even bigger nose
the hand drawn animation goes hard! the script is pretty faithful to the source material and STILL packs in several bops into a tight 80 minutes. good movie
