  Fun enough from the jump with a fights-keep-on-a-coming trajectory but that same groove gets repetitive and keeps it from feeling like there's anything going on beyond the log line.

  Hm. First off, Lily-Rose Depp is completely underwhelming and at times quite a bad casting decision. I'll chalk that up to both her and Eggers' choices and execution. Which isn't to say anyone else is particularly good, more so the acting in general feels pretty much on cruise control. Really, it's all pretty underwhelming outside of composition. It's truly a movie made for the heyday of Tumblr screenshot posts. I can't recommend it as a good movie per say, so…

  Great title and a great final shot but I'll be honest in saying that I didn't find this all that engaging or tense. It's interesting to have a lead speaking english and unable to unterstand the french speakers as it isolates the viewer as well but the effectiveness of that didn't land since the pacing is so laconic throughout.
