A sort of throwback thriller of the sort we don't see too often anymore – which could be a good or a bad thing. If you can leave your logic and realism at home, you can have a lot of fun with this one. Jack Quaid pulls off the leaving man role here very well. decent action that is elevated because of the premise.
But to be honest, the opening scenes before the action with Jack Quaid and Amber Midthunder…
John Lithgow was an absolute menace! And I mean that as the highest compliment. From his first moments on screen, you dislike him and it just gets worse and worse. Jeffrey Rush is also excellent, and even though his character begins as a bit of a condescending douche bag, you still root for him against Lithgow's ogre of a person.
Rush's character has a nice arc and we get to know his roommate pretty well as the story progresses.

Really enjoyed this one. Lots of bloody good fun! And it had a surprising undercurrent of philosophical musing on family and family legacy.
