Feel free to say that I have a bias, I come from a very Irish family and I just absolutely adore this film. The plot is compelling, the characters are extremely interesting, the scenery is downright gorgeous, the soundtrack is extremely well done and fitting to the setting, the performances are top notch, the cinematography is splendid, and I just love it. The Whale 2022
Brendan Fraser is phenomenal in this film. It feels like the character is a real life person with feelings and emotions. It’s a good movie, just not great. It had a lot of problems but it still managed to tug on my heartstrings. However, I can say with confidence that when I saw Puss in Boots almost immediately after leaving the The Whale, Puss in Boots had a greater effect on me hilariously. What a day, man.
