Alien: Romulus 2024
I wanted to care more for the characters. Their motivation was similar to the burglars in Don’t Breathe, but more streamlined. The traditional aliens seemed easier to kill than in the first two movies, the look of which has been recreated masterfully. The sets feel even bigger, more epic. All technical categories are outstanding. It’s not very emotional but it’s still an amazing ride. And it REALLY, REALLY delivers in the third act. Wow.

Not what WB needed. Downright anti-commercial due to its design as a devastating tragedy with no victory and no hope, and due to a number of very challenging creative choices. Too much music? Lady Gaga? BUT… wait until the end.
