one of those works of art that just makes u think about how immensely strange life is and how much meaning and connection can be found even in often-terrifying and absurd chaos. stylish af, hilarious, thematically zeitgeist even if it also obvs has that Unmistakable 90s Vibe, and super emotionally moving and spiritually resonant. a story abt how even on divergent paths, we're all forever guiding each other back home. i rly gotta check more jarmusch

two lost souls finding each other thru carving their own brutal niches as survivors. dense with symbolic details and shepherded over by a hand of almost christian divine grace even in a world in which violence is the background radiation for so many of the lost and invisible. literally just watched this on a whim with no expectations and got kino, i really gotta watch more movies.

This kid doesn't even jerk off to the porn (which isn't even porn mind you lol) or anything. He literally just sits there looking at scantily clad women and ends up destroying lives because of it. That's infinitely more hilarious to me than if he was whacking his rod
