surprised this doesn't have more watches. such an impactful and multifaceted doc centering resilience and strength of Lakota women and also the constant and uphill struggle for freedom, safety, autonomy, respect. also impactful due to the current state of abortion rights in the usa; the victory experienced in south dakota as shown in the film is now tinted bleakly with recent restrictive legislature and the overturning of roe vs. wade. however, on the other side of the coin, one could take this story from the not-so-distant past as motivation to continue to fight for the future.
