An incredibly moving piece of filmmaking. To see men display emotions and be so vulnerable was very comforting. This movie humanized people who normally aren't thought of often. The acting was incredible, the writing felt very natural. Colman Domingo had an outstanding performance, as he mentions in the movie, "anger is easy to portray, what is more difficult is vulnerability" and he delivers on this, truly a practice what you preach moment
A beautiful film through and through. I love the long drawn out single takes that pan around the set following characters. I was a wee bit hesitant on watching something in the film noir category but this surpassed my limited expectations. The cinematography was dynamic yet the story was slow, in the best way, following life in a natural way. The acting was also amazing, each character felt real, part of it was also probably because of the casting, having an actual indigenous woman play the role of one. A very human movie, highly reccomend (c:
More of a background watch, while doing chores lol. Not that I expected this to be an Oscar worthy movie, I didn't think the writing would be as bad as it was. The only redeemable piece was emma stones character who was the only one that seemed interesting.
