I’d forgotten about the whole real life part of this movie, it really did encapsulate the childhood wonder that lego holds for so many. I really like how they move like actual lego as well. It definitely sets this movie apart visually, and carries the humour at times. Amongst all the slapstick though is hidden a genuinely interesting plot as well, really appreciate Vitruvius’ “I made it up” and the hand out to lord business, none of it feels forced. Really fun family movie. 👍

Pretty mediocre horror film overall, with a few uniqueish aspects. I was really hoping that this film would go beyond the usual body horror associated with werewolves, but the furthest we got was Blake losing the ability to understand his family. I did think it was clever work with the camera transitioning to Blake’s perceived heightened senses, it really wasn’t tacky at all, and paired with his very slow and torturous transformation I think it really did help the audience…
Most fowl indeed, this movie was goated. I had not seen a Wallace and Gromit film since curse of the were rabbit, a childhood nostalgia classic, so expectations were high going into this film. The ‘chicken’ was without a doubt the best part of this film. The juxtaposition of evil and cute with this character was hilariously clever paired with the underestimated intelligence of Feathers.
