The thematic elements are kind of lazy and unconvincing but I think it’s a good time nonetheless. I know it is only half the source material but I genuinely don’t get the complaints with calling this “half a movie.” There are some story lines left open sure and that is bothersome but those issues pale in comparison to the lackluster attempt of any reasoning behind Elphaba’s betrayal. If anything plot points felt rushed and unfinished. Music and the two leads were great though
