I really enjoyed this one. Was really nice to see Hugh play the polar opposite of what he has usually played. Loved the iterations monologue so much. And the big reveal I thought was pretty satisfying. While I might not think about the characters too much after this I will definitely be thinking about the rhetoric. Would absolutely own and rewatch again.

Definitely not what I expected. I had started reading the book, and even not getting far in, I could tell there was only going to be a few similarities. I think after Parasite I expected more hard hitting commentaries on capitalism. And while that was somewhat present it definitely felt more satire than commentary. R Pats was great, always like seeing him play a weird dude. The Trump allegory was a choice, not sure it worked. The creatures gave big Okja vibes. Overall would probably watch again but not in a rush too.

I can only imagine what watching this movie was like upon it's initial release. It might not be the scariest or really even scary by today's standards but you can tell this is the template upon which all modern demon movies stem from. The effects still hold up after all these years which is a testament to practical effects. Overall an iconic movie.
