best part of this movie is that at the end of the day, we learn very little about Sean. we can buy into the fresh start granted at the end because we’re not bogged down in the details of all the years he’s been grieving—but is that a good thing?

this movie plays up each song so much because they know that we know the plot so there’s a prolonged instrumental intro to each big song to build suspense and i personally just think that’s so funny. i am eating my slop. i am a consumer. thank you for the big-budget movie, theatre gods.
this movie is mind-boggling beautiful when it’s not being pervy or failing to write a woman (which, is a lot of it, unfortunately).
no philosophical takeaways, just a reinvigorated desire to visit Italy.
