I hadn’t seen Smile before watching this but I think I was better off that way. It threw me for a couple loops but not because of the typical horror movie tropes. I highly suggest both.
It’s rare that a horror movie asks deep philosophical or theological questions, so imagine my surprise when I turn on Heretic and it starts off with two Mormon women discussing porn.
