Enjoyable film, with only a few missteps (imo). Barn scene is fantastic, as is the pacing throughout. Performances are great. Cinematography is good, but not great. Feels like a two act film, which I'm fine with. It makes good use of its simplicity. The themes of trying to escape becoming like ones parents yet inevitably being like them is handled well. Most things that occur harken back to something about a predominant theme or plot, and overall feels well thought out.

Pretty bad tbh, with some cool underlying ideas. Many cool concepts, rarely executed well. The Kraven dude absolutely sucks.

Like the rest of the alien movies: this film is at its best when it's being weird and at its worst when it's ticking blockbuster check boxes.
Love the way it's shot, especially the first half. First act is really strong; good overall writing, good dialogue, good sub-plots esp as a sci-fi fan. Second act is where some more "hollywood blockbuster" sequences are introduced that are plenty passable, but stray from my favorite parts of the franchise for brief moments.…
Feels like a "return to form" for Kevin Smith to that of his earlier era: Clerks, Mall Rats, and Chasing Amy vibes all around. It's a great "good vibes," nostalgic, tongue in cheek sort of movie.
