High and Low 1963
My first Kurosawa outside of his Samurai films. It took some mental hurdles to make the adjustment, but I settled in within the first 10 minutes when I could feel the familiar style of Kurosawa.
Kurosawa... I mean... it's Kurosawa. Everything is there. The slow burn tension, the emotional up and down of the main character. The self reflection and the morality challenges.

The Electric State 2025
Nearly went in blind to this, but a friends positive review led me here to see what others had to say. From there, it didn't look good, but I had a watch anyways.
Aesthetically, without knowing the source material, the movie is beautiful. Absolutely in love with the grimy, dirty world of the robots, the wasteland called X, and the time period details. Really solid effects/CGI and designs.
