As someone who has played some of the games (as much as my dodgy hands allow), this was fun enough. With barely any excitement or suspense, I'll grant you, but a strange mix of nostalgia and bemusement (what was Cate doing there?)

The rhythm-less pacing and nostalgic box-ticking made it all a bit tedious, but there were still moments of spectacle to be had. The new cast was pretty good, even as they were mostly holding on to the plot as it rushed by.
I think my main trouble was that everything was so small; certain pieces of tech notwithstanding. It wasn't really a galaxy, just 4 or 5 locations where Skywalker kin kept bumping into each other randomly. At least we…
