Conclave 2024
If you’d told me the most progressive movie I’d watch so far this Oscar season was a movie marketing as a dry political thriller, I’d have called you a liar. Inarguably the more subtle and well written script compared to another movie this season that handled similar issues. Ralph Fiennes and Stanley Tucci turn in good performances, but Carlos Diehz stole the show. His very understated but powerful performance gives the film the heart a lot of movies like this lack. Also, this should be up for cinematography. Some of the shots (debate on stairs, umbrellas, and stairs) were excellent.
