Memphis Belle 1990
Absolutely brilliant film. Totally captivating and by far the most realistic war film I’ve ever seen. One of the few films I’ve seen that has just had me totally engrossed throughout. Crazy to think that my great grandad did what they did in the film and more. Very good film. The comedy is expertly weaved in with the dark subject and the characters are very well-cast. The KKK members are brilliantly acted as well as the protagonists as it could be very easy for them to become cartoonish, not believable or 1 dimensional; on the contrary, they all feel realistic and you can very easily picture them within a modern day society, with traits similar to someone you may have even met. The end is sobering and obviously even more relevant with the George Floyd murder and other incidents since the film’s release. Not to mention Trump has become immeasurably worse.

Clear and Present Danger 1994
Very entertaining and watchable. Not an all-timer and not particularly adventurous but very entertaining nonetheless. I really enjoyed the old analysis scenes, where they are able to get a ‘90% voice match’ to track down a guy from a 3 word call that was intercepted.
