There is always something beautiful and intelligent about Eric Rohmer's films. The vibrant colours and lifelike cinematography draw me into a world of the 1980s inhabited by confused adults who profess, but cannot live up to, their notions about love. It raises a few eyebrows, but it's another tick for Rohmer.
