  I wish I had this film when I was 15 cause I was a little piece of shit like Lawrence was. This is a film that perfectly encapsulates growing up in Canada in the 2000s. Especially down to the Swollen Members song in the beginning of the film. Used to jam out to that song in 2003 when this film is set. Although Lawrence is never explicitly mentioned to be part Indigenous, Isaiah Lehtinen who plays him is Métis. As…

  Weird: The Al Yankovic Story 2022

  I've been a Weird Al fan for most of my life and I just couldn't wait to see this film. Everything about it was simply perfect. My favourite music biopic before 2022 was 1987's La Bamba. Then in June, it was Elvis (2022). But after seeing this, it dethrones "The King" as my number one music biopic. I might even call this my favourite film of all time.
