  Charles Manson sure had some impact on Folk Horror. It all stars with an evil eye in the ground (the idea that it is Satan's remnants just made my skin crawls, I don't know why I find that idea terrifying), then it corrupts the young ones, the girls, the pure. Blood on Satan's Claw is at its best when watching from a distance (wide shots in the woods are both gorgeous and eerie) or when pinning lewd and unnatural details…

  Islands are old brains scattered on the Oceans, haunted by the defective memories of the men lost at Sea.
