Clearly none of the reviewers here have read Domu. The film is heavily indebted to Katsuhiro Otomo's manga (it's obvious just from the poster), but unfortunately is not as good. Good characters and acting, good restrained style, but the story is too bleak and slow and lacks Domu's powerful momentum and catharsis.
