We're so back. I love myself a good practical effect or two and a good wet puppet. Tim Burton truly is at his best when he's directing his own stuff and just sorta allowed to do whatever the hell he wants. It stands on its own as a sequel.

The Art Idol Koe-chan's Challenge! Transformation Land 2004
If you're looking for porn, look somewhere else, man.
I watched this film. The body painting and the interaction between model and artist was incredibly interesting to watch. My Japanese is very minimal but I know enough to know that I would get more out of the conversations they were having if it were subbed or my language skills were better.
I want to revisit this again when I have access to that or what I'm a bit more fluent.

Forbidden Zone 1980
It's very rarely that I walk away from a movie like this feeling icky but I feel a little icky. This movie probably needs to marinate in my head for a while for me to develop some thoughts as to why that might be (outside of the blackface, which will always be uncomfortable and which I talk about a little further down). I think it's a tone thing.
