the strength of this film is truly its composition and utter visual beauty. and, to me, also the moments in which characters are freely displaced or manipulated extragetically for visual metaphor or thesis-splaining is my favorite.

The space this movie affords to dream and learn is enviable. The devices it uses to achieve this are, I think, unparalleled.
In a way, rewatching this taught me something about myself—what I might’ve taken away from this when I was much younger which deeply shaped how I think about artistry. and for that, I’m maybe thankful beyond words.
