The cast alone is five stars, but the story was complex, and hard to follow at times. Overall a very solid movie from heist/crime film goat Steven Soderbergh, he’s the fuckin man.

An absolutely crazy and true story about Solomon Northup, a free man kidnapped into slavery. The story is cruel, brutal, and authentic. It’s obviously incredibly emotional and devastating, largely due to the flawless performances by Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lupita Nyong'o. The portrayal of the despicable slave masters by Paul Dano, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Michael Fassbender is just as powerful. Everyone was truly firing on all cylinders in this historical drama. I’m honestly dumbfounded that this is a true story.

Invincible is the fuckin best. I don't know if I can wait for season 4. I might need to read the rest of the comics by then.

I was concerned about all the delays leading up to the initial release, but this ended up being the best movie I've seen in theaters since Nosferatu. Bong's finest English film yet, hands down. The acting was solid across the board, Pattinson, Ackie, Yuen, and Collette all delivered superb performances. But honestly, I keep forgetting how good of an actor Mark Ruffalo is, he made for an excellent antagonist. Unlike most of the Hollywood bullshit we're accustomed to, this film stands out. Of course Parasite is a tough film to follow up, but the hate it’s getting is unnecessary.
