  are women this annoying in real life lol maybe we are ???? maybe I just haven’t rly seen a film w female protagonists (written by lola bessis! a woman!) that have little interaction w men/patriarchy before & maybe ive trained myself to watch films like a bloke & now i hate that this film is making me ask all these Qs when it is really just a fun action flick but now I’ve added all this weight to it like a bloke…

  so happy for Daniel Blumberg’s rise to stardom!!!!!! esp him shouting out cafe oto in his bafta speech 😭😭 anyyyway this was well made but I’m kinda amazed how basic the message is lol I can’t tell if that makes it better or not , reminded me a lot of TAR (maybe bc lots of concrete maybe bc characters are very much deliberately not real, very symbolic)

  hour 3: laura dern looks like an aardman character

  anyway I’ve now seen all his films & think this is prob best representation of lynch’s whole thing , bunch of ideas that flow and build and grow and start to reference each other. following feeling & people above all else - soundtrack helps so much w this as well, so emotive. made me think of the pillow book idk why ,, the whole layering thing. last 30 mins are insane insane insane ,,, rip big time mr lynch
