Secretary Bird stuck around to navigate and make sure the squad would be okay — once the rudder snapped he was like “aight friends there’s nothing I can do 👍” and ascended.
They make me emotional they were all outcasts and loners and found family in each other and chose each other over the familiar and the unknowable and grew as characters together.
I can’t believe this was all Blender, everyone who worked on this deserves to see the pearly gates you can tell they really had passion with this and they studied animals with love 🫶.

the contrast between Gaish vs Tatsu and Kazuki’s outlooks on their identity and their relationships was crazy - like Gaish only surrounds himself with cis women and dates around, vs the other two seem to have found fulfilling queer relationships and healed parts of their past…
