felt like I was following arthur around a twisted fairytale. there was an unreal quality and one dimensionality to the side characters like they were just fulfilling their predestined roles in the story instead of acting on an agenda of their own and arthur was the only one with an actual beating heart.
the third act is stacked with beautiful visuals and moments but the beginning was very slow so it took me a while to get into it but what can I say? it definitely paid off
