  "We're like, e-girl detectives..."

  I worked in research for about a decade and all it gave me was agony and nihilism. Are we, "the public", owed "truth"? As if objectivity were real, and not a fetishized myth or belief system? That above all else, we have some sort of right to the lives of others in pursuit of.........? I'm not even sure what.
