I kept watching this on a long flight. The characters slowly come into focus and the tension builds, with lots of clues along the way. The ending is somehow quite beautiful.

Despite all of the real-life bad blood between the two leads I felt that they portrayed perfectly what their characters would have been. There is much to recommend in this film and I'd see it again although -- as a warning -- almost all of the men portrayed here represent the worst of the male sex.

Kudos to the filmmakers, writer and director for at least putting together a decent murder mystery. My issue with this film is that I struggled to care about any of the characters. The football jock is irritating, the beauty queen is a tough personality to embrace, and Jennifer Love Hewitt's character comes across as borderline tedious to watch.

The film follows a well-trodden path of teen murder mysteries I suppose with the bulk of the murders coming in the last…

This film deals with one of America's core obsessions; namely, weight loss. The film moves slowly but kept my interest at all times. I found myself cheering on the lead chatacter even though he's far from likeable. The meals the protagonist endures with his judgmental brother and his beautiful yet enigmatic mother really resonated with me. I wish that this film can achieve a much wider audience because the story and actors deserve it.

This edgy film features excellent lighting, corners, alleyways, urban landscapes and angles -- all of which contribute to a mood and plot which impressed me greatly. The acting is first-rate and for an indie film the production and finished product blew me away. This could become a cult classic.
