Pacing was all over the place. Things that could have been longer were so brief I forgot they happened, things that should have been brief dragged on. The animation is great, it has a sweet story at its center, but I really felt that it was gasping for air at times

This is everything these movies should be. A fantastic human cast filled with characters that have clear motivations, which makes you genuinely root for them, against Godzilla. The set pieces of this movie are fantastic, and it was a great choice to take place in the aftermath of the firebombings of Tokyo, a city that looks barren compared to what people know of as now.
