  Unfortunately this is „only“ a good movie, I don’t know what it is but I was a littttlle bit underwhelmed. Still had everything I wanted in it so can’t really explain what it is.   Robert Eggers doing Robert Eggers things. This time even more stylized than before, maybe even a bit too much, leaving it feeling a bit overconstructed at times. Still phenomenal from a visual perspective and also in general exploring interesting themes like the oppression of female desire and pleasure in a male-dominated world, as well as the contrast between the source of evil coming from within or the outside. 
  At times also a little funny honestly, didn’t expect to learn so much about real estate investments in 19th century Germany.

  Ach, mal wieder ein klassischer Freitag Abend. Man guckt seine Watchlist auf Netflix und Amazon durch, aber wird irgendwie durch nichts so richtig angefixt. Und auf einmal hat man Mad Max: Fury Road eingelegt, steckt mitten in der ersten großen Verfolgungsjagd und weiß, dass man die absolut richtige Entscheidung getroffen hat.
  Ich weiß gar nicht genau zum wievielten Mal mir das inzwischen passiert ist, aber ich fühle mich danach immer noch genauso erschlagen wie nach dem ersten Mal. Kein anderer…
