Simply no one does it like Malick. Pure artistic expression and theological pondering fleshed out to their fullest capabilities. Universal yet impenetrable, abstract yet so clear. It’s all about love, that’s all it’s ever been.

A sprawling, chaotic, and complex epic about the sins of parents carrying down to their children and the lies we tell about ourselves to feel a bit more numb to the struggles of living.
The greatest trick this film pulls is convincing the audience with the opening monologue that all of the problems and conflicts will be solved with some grand moment of divine interconnectivity, only to pull the rug out from under them with a brilliantly absurd climax…
I was going to write a big long review after rewatching this movie but I don’t think I’ve got anything to say. I genuinely and truly think that this is one of the best sci fi films I’ve ever seen and I’m not sure I’d ever forgive Warner Bros if they don’t green light Dune: Messiah next
“I think I was born bored,
I think I was born blue,
I think I was born wanting more,
I think I was born already missing you”
I can’t get this fucking movie out of my head
