Withnail & I 1987
I fear parts of me might have too much in common with both Withnail and I, that I’m left feeling somewhere quite flattened after watching this, but not in a totally depressing way, more between bittersweet and melancholic. It’s a familiar, yet strange, sideways and backwards coming of age feeling film that I find both affirming and bitterly terrifying.

great, brilliant, amazing. a truly remarkably sweet oddball film that will inevitably remind you how far a little kindness can go. Don’t forget to check in your parents, friends, neighbors… or I guess just about anyone you may pass on the street, and always remember you’re never too grown up to tell any one of those people “I love you”.
