  They left out some notable quotes from Remarque’s novel, but they make up for any lost words with a visual dedication to the horror and atrocity that these kids were forced into.

  “It just keeps happening.”

  Wow, this is a tough ride. I’m glad I finally got to this one, the performances were strong from top to bottom, but I can’t say I’ll voluntarily watch it again. There is nothing in this world quite like family.
