    I was drawn to watch Glory (which I'd seen bits and pieces of over the course of several years, but never in its entirety) as a result of reading Ed Zwick's memoir Hits, Flops and Other Illusions, which so far has been an enlightening read (Disclosure: I'm writing this about 120 pages in).
