  Yes, I am going to join the chorus of those praising its PRACTICAL EFFECTS. The amount of craft and care clearly on display really knocked me further into my seat. Like, this is the best space movie I’ve seen in a long while. Loved the characters and story which is intentionally simple. For every call-back there’s something wholly original, which, for me at least, let it get away with a bit more. It’s also REALLY scary and the music is EXCELLENT. Definitely want to see it again soon.

  Man, this Niles Crane spinoff is really wild. 

  I know, it’s tropey. I know the second act is a bit muddled. But I honestly loved what this did with its thematic elements, making the meta-narrative part secondary to just heaping responsibility onto Crowe to play a real part. And hey, it’s lensed well!
